Topic: A Liberal Argument Against Abortion
Thesis: Pro-life advocates are generally assumed to be conservative in the rest of their views. However, in the history of abortion, there have been many pro-life people who were considered liberal, and there is a growing movement of pro-life liberalism today. In America, democrats are generally in favor of human rights and protection of the weak and helpless, for example in the cases of helping the poor, disabled, and unemployed, and it would seem that protection of the unborn would follow.

Definatly one of the most interesting topics out of the class in my opinion. I'm riding the fence on the abortion topic so hopefully this new pro-life liberalism that is occuring will give you enough needed information for your case. I think the only part that may give you trouble will be finding enough credible information.
ReplyDeleteBen, where is your thesis? If you don't know how to do one, look in your books. Be sure to include your thesis in your proposal.
