Topic: Why America should not go to a socialized medicine system (by looking at the decline in patient care the sytems of socialized medicine has lead to in Europe and Canada)
Thesis: If America wants to have national healthcare system, America must consider the effects the system will have on care for patients, funding for equipment and facilities, and availabilty of treatment. The systems of socialized medicine in the United Kingdom and Canada have created poor patient care, because their national healthcare system has lead to long waiting lists to recieve treatment and care, poor facilities and lack of equipment, and shortages of doctors.

This is a very interesting topic that I would like to read when you are done writing it. This is a great thesis statement, but just make sure you address all these arguments clearly in your research paper.

ReplyDeleteYou have a great topic and argument; however, when you say "America" it refers to all of the Americas (North, South, and Middle). You could narrow it down to North America, but this would also include Mexico and Canada. If you intend to talk about the country, not the continent, call it by it's name-The United States of America.
